Who is already involved with us?

Some of Hull & East Yorkshire’s major employers are already offering their staff added-value employee benefits via the Credit Union, as are some smaller concerns, including:

In the rest of the UK just a few of the organisations providing their employees with this include: Greater Manchester Police, British Airways, Stagecoach Group and Arriva transport companies, News International plc and British Aerospace.

Worldwide, in the Caribbean, Australia, Canada and the USA employers like NASA, The White House and the US Navy all provide credit union services to their staff.

And the cost? . . .

Minimal to the employer.  All the administration of members’ accounts is done by the staff of Hull & East Yorkshire Credit Union.  All the employer needs to provide is free payroll deduction facilities and access to internal distribution networks for promotion of the scheme.

Additional support, such as secure office space, equipment and staffing assistance would of course add credibility to the partnership and help to expand the service at a faster rate.

What resources are available to promote Credit Union services to our mutual benefit?

We can provide you with some handy leaflets/joining forms explaining how easy it is for employees to save regularly with the CU direct from their pay.  Why not:

  • Hand them out to all new starters?
  • Give them out with payslips?
  • Place them on staff notice boards or leaflet racks accessed by employees?

Do you have Team Meetings, Briefings or other events for staff?

If so, maybe we could provide a short presentation to tell colleagues what the CU has to offer. 10-15 minutes talk with slides, plus time for questions is ideal.

Have you a Staff Magazine or Newsletter?

We could provide an article to explain what the CU is all about.

Just let us know your copy deadline and the number of words required, and we will supply an article. 

Would you like a Roadshow?

We could put on a roadshow-type event, possibly over lunch time, that staff can “drop in” to.  Credit Union staff/volunteers would chat informally with colleagues, provide leaflets and help them with joining forms etc.
